Is it permissible to break one's make-up fast after recalling the correct number of days one missed?

Fasting on the seventh day is a supererogatory act, and it is better to complete it once begun, to avoid the scholarly disagreement. Some scholars are of the opinion that completing it is obligatory, while others believe it is not. Completing a supererogatory fast once begun is obligatory according to the Hanafis and Malikis, and recommended according to the Shafi'is and Hanbalis.
