What is the ruling on training in usurious banks to gain experience, and is it permissible to take a reward if one is offered?
It is not permissible to work in usurious companies or banks, as this involves cooperation in sin and transgression. Indeed, a curse has been invoked upon those who assist in usury. Therefore, it is not permissible to train in them if this involves direct engagement in usurious activities or assisting therein, unless the student is compelled to do so. In such a case, it is permissible for him to attend, provided that he dislikes usury, denounces it, and refrains from participating in any usurious transaction. As for the compensation, he should dispose of it by giving it to the poor and needy.
