Allah has made good companionship obligatory between spouses, and that each of them should fulfill their duties towards the other for mutual benefit. They must also be patient with the shortcomings and poor treatment of the other party. This is one of the reasons for the family's endurance. We advise the questioner to be patient with her husband's shortcomings and to fulfill her duties, as this may cause the husband to feel ashamed and fulfill his own duties. Both spouses must fulfill their obligations towards each other and fear Allah.
