Does the man whom an unattractive woman solicits for adultery, and he refuses, fall under "the seven whom Allah will shade with His shade on the Day when there is no shade except His shade"?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

The Hadith indicates that the merit of abstaining from a woman of high status and beauty stems from the fear of Allah Almighty, and its reward is immense, as Allah will shade its possessor on a Day when there is no shade but His. Chastity from indecencies and following desires has a great reward, as Allah Almighty mentioned in the Quran: "But as for he who feared the position of his Lord and prevented the soul from [unlawful] desire, Then indeed, Paradise will be [his] refuge." The soul stands between the heart and reaching Allah, and one can only reach Him after subjugating and opposing it. The journey to Allah culminates in triumphing over the self. Whoever triumphs over his self succeeds, and whoever is overcome by his self loses.
