Impure clothes become pure [by washing them] in an automatic washing machine along with pure ones, if the trace of impurity is removed. However, purifying the impure clothes alone is safer. The persistence of the color or smell of impurity after washing does not harm, and the clothes are considered pure. They do not render impure whatever they touch, and prayer with them is valid. Beware of obsessive doubts and turn away from them.
