What are the minor and major signs of the Day of Judgment?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

The signs of the Hour are divided into minor and major. The minor signs precede the Day of Resurrection by a long period, some of which have already occurred and are recurring, some have appeared and are continuing, and some have not yet occurred. Examples include: the advent and death of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, the conquest of Jerusalem, the emergence of tribulations, the spread of adultery, usury, and widespread killing. As for the major signs, they are great events indicating the proximity of the Day of Resurrection, and they are ten signs: the Dajjal, the descent of Jesus, peace be upon him, Gog and Magog, three land collapses ( خسوفات ), the smoke, the sun rising from the west, the Beast, and the fire that gathers people. Some of these major signs are sequential, such as the appearance of the Dajjal, then the descent of Jesus, followed by the emergence of Gog and Magog.
