What are the signs of the Day of Judgment?

Allah Almighty said: (The Hour has approached, and the moon has split) and (Do they then await but the Hour, that it should come upon them unawares? And already have come some of its portents). The prophethood of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, is one of the portents of the Hour. Allah Almighty concealed the knowledge of its coming from His servants for their own benefit.

The signs of the Hour are divided into three categories: 1. Signs that have appeared and passed: such as the prophethood of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. 2. Signs that have appeared but have not yet concluded and are still increasing: such as the happiest people in the world being the most contemptible, the death of scholars, the prevalence of ignorance and killing, the abundance of tribulations and earthquakes, imitation of disbelievers, the widespread abundance of wealth, the prevalence of evil deeds, usury, and fornication, the emergence of immodestly dressed women, and the tall structures built by barefoot, destitute camel herders. 3. Major signs that will be followed immediately by the Hour: such as the appearance of the Dajjal, the descent of Jesus, peace be upon him, the emergence of the Mahdi, the emergence of the Beast, Gog and Magog, and the sun rising from its west.
