Is the Maghrib prayer valid if performed without the intention of combining it with the Isha prayer, and the Isha prayer is then completed afterwards?

Scholars have differed regarding the condition of intending to combine prayers (jama‘) before commencing the first of the two combined prayers. It is hoped that combining prayers will be permissible without the intention at the start of the first prayer, and it is acceptable to adopt the view of those scholars who did not stipulate this condition, due to its strength.
