How do I convince myself of the varying degrees in Paradise?

The soul can be motivated to do good deeds by reading the texts of revelation that encourage good works, and that show the differing ranks and stations of the people of Paradise according to their deeds. Allah Almighty says: (And for all are degrees from what they have done). The people of Paradise will not envy each other despite the disparity in their ranks, as Allah Almighty says: (And We will remove whatever is in their breasts of resentment). The people of Paradise will see the people of the highest chambers just as one sees a brilliant star in the horizon, and these stations are not limited to the prophets.

Among the reasons for attaining the highest ranks of Paradise are:

1. Memorizing the Quran, reciting it, chanting it, and acting upon it: For one's station will be at the last verse one recites.

2. Good character: As the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "I guarantee a house in the highest part of Paradise for one who has good character."

3. Supplication: By asking one's Lord for Al-Firdaws Al-A’la, for it is the highest part of Paradise.
