How can we be certain that God is real and that the religion of Islam is the true one, and what is the impact of peace on the individual and society?

To affirm the existence of Allah the Almighty and the reality of His being the Creator, one can reflect upon the vast universe and upon oneself. Allah has urged us to do so in His saying: "Say, 'Travel through the land and observe how He began creation. Then Allah will produce the final creation. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent,'" and His saying: "And on the earth are signs for those of assured faith, And in yourselves. Then will you not see?"

Among the proofs of His existence, glory be to Him, are: The existence of creation: For it is impossible for something existing to come into existence from nothing or to create itself, as in His saying, the Almighty: "Were they created by nothing, or were they themselves the creators?" Perfection and precision: For Allah created everything with precision and beauty, as every limb performs its function in the most complete way. "The handiwork of Allah, Who perfected all things." Destiny and calculation: For Allah created everything with destiny, calculation, and order, such as the distance between the sun and the earth, and the integration between plants and animals. "Indeed, all things We created with a measure." Guidance: For Allah has guided every creature to what benefits it, like the newborn being guided to its mother's breast. "Our Lord is He who gave each thing its creation and then guided it."
