What is the ruling on watching Syrian comedy and drama series?

It is impermissible to watch TV series that contain religiously prohibited elements, such as the display of awrat (private parts), the promotion of evil deeds and deviant ideologies, or the embellishment of indecencies, illicit relationships, and falsehoods. As for series free from such prohibitions, there is no objection to watching them, if they exist. Describing a series as comedic or dramatic does not affect the ruling on its prohibition or permissibility.
