Will those who died as Jews or Christians before the advent of Islam enter Paradise?

Whoever died before the advent of the Prophet, peace be upon him, adhering to the true and sound religion, free from distortion, shall enter Paradise, for Allah, the Almighty, says: "Indeed, those who believed and those who were Jews or Christians or Sabeans - those who believed in Allah and the Last Day and did righteousness - will have their reward with their Lord, and no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve." (2:62) This verse was revealed concerning those who were upon the true religion before the advent of the Prophet, peace be upon him. As for whoever received the message of Jesus, peace be upon him, and disbelieved in it, they shall not enter Paradise, for Allah, the Almighty, says: "Indeed, those who disbelieve in Allah and His messengers and wish to differentiate between Allah and His messengers and say, 'We believe in some and disbelieve in others,' and wish to adopt a way in between - those are truly disbelievers. And We have prepared for the disbelievers a humiliating punishment." (4:150-151)
