What are the opinions of the four schools of thought and Dr. Ajeel regarding the ruling on plucking/trimming eyebrows (al-Nams)?

The summary of the fatwa is that what has been mentioned regarding the scholars' opinions on al-Nams (plucking eyebrows) is found in the books of the four madhahib (schools of thought) and others. The Hanafis, Malikis, Shafi'is, and Hanbalis permit al-Nams for a married woman with the intention of adorning herself for her husband, or when there is a defect or necessity, such as excessive hair growth that harms the husband. As for an unmarried woman, the majority views that al-Nams is not permissible for her except for treatment or a defect that does not involve deception. However, the general fatwa prohibits al-Nams absolutely, except for removing what exceeds the normal amount of hair that blemishes or disfigures.
