Is it permissible to give zakat to one's sister, brother's wife, or father?

It is permissible for your husband to give zakat to your father if his income is not sufficient to cover his expenses or the expenses of those he supports, provided he meets the description of being poor. Zakat is given to the eight categories explicitly mentioned in Islamic law.
