What is the ruling on jinn appearing to humans, and the resultant harm and seeing their forms, and how do I deal with the whisperings of Satan that frighten me about the possibility of seeing a jinn?

The existence of Jinn is a reality, and Allah Almighty has informed us that they see humans from where we do not see them. However, this does not negate the possibility of some humans seeing them on certain occasions in different forms. The stratagem of the devils is weak, and for protection from them, it is recommended to recite Surat Al-Baqarah in the home and to purify the house from pictures, statues, musical instruments, and entertainment devices that attract devils and prevent angels from entering. It is also recommended to maintain the morning and evening adhkar (remembrances), the adhkar before sleep, upon entering and exiting the home, the adhkar for food, and upon entering and exiting the restroom, as these bring tranquility to the heart. One must also maintain the prayers at their appointed times in congregation at the mosque, perform voluntary prayers at home, and recite the two Mu'awwidhatain (Surat Al-Falaq and Surat An-Nas) and Ayat Al-Kursiyy to expel devils and evil Jinn.
