What is the ruling on working with a bachelor's degree (licence) in positive law?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

There is no objection to permissible work, whether one applies for it with or without a degree in man-made law. What matters is the work itself. If it is permissible, and the applicant is proficient in it and able to perform it, then there is no objection. It should be noted that if man-made law does not contradict Islamic legal texts, then there is no objection to it, such as laws based on masalih mursalah (unrestricted public interests) and siyasah shar'iyyah (Islamic governance).
