Seeking sacred knowledge is among the best acts of devotion. If one is able to leave work and dedicate themselves to it, that is a good thing. If not, one can utilize their free time to seek knowledge. Allah the Almighty has facilitated means through which one can receive knowledge from senior scholars. It is recommended to ask Allah for success, to make a firm resolve, to sharpen one's ambition, and to organize one's time to receive knowledge daily, even for a short period, while observing gradual progression and starting with what is easier. The book "Hilyat Talib al-Ilm" (The Adornment of the Seeker of Knowledge) by Sheikh Bakr Abu Zayd is advised.
