Does a son's right to his father's inheritance lapse if the father and son die together in a car accident?
If there was no negligence in observing safety precautions, then you are not liable for anything. However, if specialists determine that there was negligence or dereliction of duty, then two things are incumbent upon you: an expiation (), which is the freeing of a believing slave; if you cannot find one, then fasting for two consecutive months. And a blood money (diyah) to be paid to the heirs of the deceased, which is borne by the ‘Aqilah (your paternal relatives). The blood money can be waived if the heirs forgive it. Regarding the inheritance of the accidental killer from the victim, there is a difference of opinion among scholars.
