Why are there not many interpretive narrations attributed to the Four Rightly Guided Caliphs and the Ten Promised Paradise in books of Tafsir, while there are many narrations attributed to Ibn Abbas and Ibn Mas'ud, despite the former being the closest people to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)?

The four caliphs and the rest of the Ten [companions promised Paradise] were the most closely attached to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, learning from him, knowledgeable of the Qur’an, reflecting upon it, and teaching it. However, the scarcity of narrations from them is due to the fact that most of those who narrated from them were the Companions themselves. All the Companions are trustworthy, and they narrated from one another. A mursal narration from a Companion is judged as connected. Many narrations were transmitted from Ibn Abbas and Ibn Mas'ud because they lived a long time after the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and the Tabi'un (successors) learned from them.
