Assuming that harm and envy from relatives are proven, there is no harm in limiting the relationship and abandoning certain forms of connection that cause harm, while maintaining other forms of connection. Misconduct does not nullify the essential obligation of maintaining ties. Lying is not permissible unless it is the only means to avert certain harm and equivocation is not possible.
