What is the ruling on invoking Allah during a jest with someone?

Among the etiquettes of supplication (du'a) is the presence of the heart. Supplicating while jesting contravenes what is best and may not be answered, due to the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Supplicate to Allah while you are certain of a response, and know that Allah does not answer a supplication from a heedless, inattentive heart." Thus, a supplication from a heart that is inattentive, heedless of being present with Allah, or preoccupied with worldly matters or acts of obedience, may not be answered. The intention behind this is to encourage the presence of the heart and complete devotion to Allah when supplicating.
