What is the ruling on a bald man wearing a wig for treatment and psychological well-being, knowing that it is synthetic hair and does not fall under the ruling of hair extensions, and can it be analogized to the concession of the Companion's golden nose?

It is permissible for a woman to wear a wig if she is compelled to do so, such as one whose hair has not grown. However, it is not permissible for a man to wear one. Baldness in men is not a disgraceful defect; rather, it was a sign of nobility, and the Righteous Caliphs were bald. The ruling on baldness differs from that on a severed nose, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, permitted the use of a golden nose for one whose nose was cut off, due to a necessity that is not present in baldness. We advise men to refrain from wearing wigs to avoid controversy and not to magnify the issue of baldness, as it is not a defect and does not necessitate wearing a wig.
