Is watching free foreign movies uploaded to the internet, which were available on Blu-ray discs, forbidden?

If the films are forbidden, then one must refrain from watching them and repent for having watched them previously. Their owners have no right over someone who watched them without their permission, because forbidden things are not guaranteed if destroyed, nor are their intellectual properties considered. However, if they are permissible, then it is not allowed to infringe upon the rights of their owners by watching them or uploading them to the internet without their permission.
