Must one make up prayers missed due to bleeding that lasted for three months, when it was believed to be menstrual or postpartum blood?

If human features are discernible in the fetus, then the bleeding is nifas (definition) (postpartum bleeding); otherwise, it is istihada (irregular bleeding), unless it coincides with the usual menstruation period, in which case it is considered menses. If human features were discernible in the fetus during the second instance (of miscarriage), then forty days are counted as nifas, and anything beyond that is istihada. If human features were not discernible in the fetus, then all the bleeding is istihada, and you must consider your usual period as menses and everything else as istihada, or distinguish the blood (by its characteristics), or consider six or seven days as menses. There is no need to make up prayers missed during nifas and menses. However, for any other instances, you must make up the prayers you missed thinking that the blood was nifas.
