The answer

The in the funeral prayer, if performed in congregation, is to align and straighten the rows as in all other prayers. It is also sunnah to close gaps in the row. It is recommended for whoever sees a gap in front of them to move forward to fill it, even if they are already in the prayer. The funeral prayer becomes invalid by omitting a condition or a pillar. Its conditions are the same as the conditions for all other prayers, except for the time. Its pillars are: intention, standing if capable, four takbirat, reciting Al-Fatiha, sending blessings upon the Prophet (peace be upon him), supplicating for the deceased, and one taslima.
