How can one make one's colleague love him?

Love and friendship that are not based on piety and following one's whims lead to an evil outcome in this world and the hereafter, transforming into enmity on the Day of Resurrection, as Allah Almighty says: "Close friends on that Day will be foes to one another, except for the righteous." Love must be for the sake of Allah, and not for beauty, status, or wealth. Love for the sake of Allah and hatred for the sake of Allah are among the fundamentals of faith. One who loves a person for the sake of Allah should inform them of that. Among the reasons for attracting affection are spreading greetings, exchanging gifts, and having a cheerful countenance.
