What is the ruling on a wife who described her husband as being "from the party of Satan" because he asked her to remove the niqab or to stay at home to prevent harm, and what is the ruling on a wife's disobedience (nushūz) and her going to her father's house and refusing to obey her husband concerning her friend?

The Shari'ah has given the husband authority over his wife, so she must obey him in what is good. A wife going to her father's house or her friend's house without her husband's permission and her saying to him, "You are from the party of Satan," all indicate her disobedience (nushuz). A woman covering her face when going out is obligatory, and the husband does not have the right to order her to uncover it, for there is no obedience to a creature in disobedience to the Creator. She is not permitted to leave the house except with his permission, unless for a necessity or a close need.
