The answer

The aforementioned hadith has not been authentically reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. Voluntary prayers (nawafil) include those that are supplementary to obligatory prayers (rawatib), those that are absolute voluntary prayers, and those that are tied to a specific reason. As for the time of performing voluntary prayers, those with a specific reason are prayed when their reason occurs, the rawatib are linked to the obligatory prayer, and absolute voluntary prayers can be performed at any time except during the prohibited times. As for their benefits, they are very numerous, including bringing the servant closer to his Lord and attaining His love, accompanying the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, in Paradise, in addition to being a cause for relieving worries, expanding provisions, and expiating sins.
