Is it obligatory to give in charity money that a woman refused to take, knowing that it cannot be returned to her? And is what happened considered an injustice to her that warrants supplication [against the one who caused it]? And is the questioner sinful?

The agreed-upon wage for the woman mentioned must be paid immediately upon her completion of the work. The obligation is not discharged by giving charity on her behalf. If she refuses, the amount can be handed over to the Sharia court with a receipt taken for it. If the wage is with her and her heir has not come forward, it must be kept and grown, or handed over to the head of the court with a deed taken for it. If the refusal to pay was unintentional, then the sin is removed.
