It is advised for the memorizer of the Qur'an who desires to read the to begin by memorizing abridged works such as "Al-Arba'in an-Nawawiyyah" (An-Nawawi's Forty ), "Umdat al-Ahkam," and "Bulugh al-Maram," then "Riyadh as-Salihin," while correcting pronunciations and understanding meanings from a proficient scholar. After that, one should move on to "Al-Muwatta'" and "the Two Sahihs."
