وفقًا للآية 13 من سورة يس، ما هي هوية أصحاب القرية، والقرية نفسها، والمرسلين الثلاثة، والمدينة المذكورة لاحقًا، والرجل الذي جاء يسعى؟
The exegetes have differed in identifying the village and its messengers. It was said that the village was Antioch, and it was said that the messengers were Sadiq, Musaddiq, and Salloum, or Shamoun and Yuhanna, or Sam’an and Yahya. And that the man who came from the farthest part of the city was Habib al-Najjar, who was afflicted with leprosy and worshipped Allah in a cave. When he heard of the messengers, he believed and had faith in them.
One should suffice with what is mentioned in the Qur’an and Sunnah, and not delve into details that Allah and His Messenger have not clarified, especially since many of these details rely on Isra’iliyyat (Judeo-Christian traditions) whose authenticity cannot be definitively established.
