Is Paul, mentioned in the Holy Quran in Surat Ya-Sin: "When We sent to them two (messengers), and they denied them both, so We reinforced them with a third," the same Saul of Tarsus who distorted Christianity?

The exegetes differed regarding the messengers of the people of the town mentioned in Surat Ya-Sin. Ibn Kathir was of the opinion that they were messengers from Allah, citing as evidence that the people of the town were destroyed after they disbelieved the messengers, whereas the city of Antioch—to which it was said the messengers were sent—was not destroyed; rather, it was the first city to believe in Christ. And assuming they were messengers of Christ, and one of them was Paul, it does not necessarily follow that he was Paul the Jew who distorted the Gospel, bearing in mind that the names of the messengers mentioned in the exegeses are narrated from the People of the Book.
