Does the Qur’an or Sunnah contain anything that answers the whispers of Satan, "Who created God?"

This meaning is mentioned in prophetic narrations (hadiths); among them is the saying of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him: "People will not cease to ask questions until they say: 'This is Allah, the Creator of everything; so who created Allah?'" If this obsessive whisper reaches this point, one must seek refuge in Allah and stop, and say: "I believe in Allah."

Scholars have said that this type of obsessive whisper comes from Satan and is repelled by turning away from it and seeking refuge in Allah, because it relies on sensation, not intellect, and attempting to debate it is a waste of time. However, if the obsessive whisper is persistent and results from a rational doubt, it must be repelled with evidence and by examining its invalidation, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, did in the incident of "no contagion" with the Bedouin.
