Did Yusuf (peace be upon him) marry and have children, and were any of them prophets? Is there any evidence for this in the Qur’an or Sunnah? And what is the validity of what is circulated, that Zulaikha embraced Islam and married Yusuf after Allah restored her youth?

Historians and exegetes transmit that Yusuf (peace be upon him) married the wife of Al-Aziz after her repentance, and had two sons with her: Ephraim and Misha. It was narrated from Muhammad ibn Ishaq that Itfir (the husband of Al-Aziz's wife) perished, so King Al-Rayyan ibn Al-Walid married Yusuf to Itfir's wife, "Ra'il," and Yusuf found her to be a virgin, and had children with her. This ancient historical account has no known continuous chain of transmission, and it is most likely taken from the People of the Book, so it is not permissible to confirm or deny it. Mentioning such religiously unbeneficial details is pointless.
