What are the names of the People of the Cave? May Allah reward you.

The names of the Companions of the Cave and their dog have been mentioned in some books of Tafsir (exegesis) and historical accounts, such as Tafsir al-Tabari and al-Qurtubi. However, al-Qurtubi views the chain of narration for these names as weak. There is no benefit or legal ruling that depends on knowing their names; had there been a benefit, they would have been mentioned in the Quran or Sunnah. A Muslim should suffice with the stories and lessons mentioned in the Quran and Sunnah, and refrain from delving into trivial details that offer no benefit.
