What is the ruling on a husband cursing his wife by saying, "Why, you accursed woman?" as a joke and without intending it?

The marital bond is based on mutual respect, and everything that compromises it, especially cursing, reviling, and obscene language, must be avoided. Whoever curses his wife has committed a clear sin and wronged her, and has uttered the forbidden curse. It is not permissible for a Muslim to curse another Muslim, whether in seriousness or in jest.
