What is the creed of the Sufi Sanusiyya, and is it true that it differs from Salafism only in some subsidiary issues?

To determine the ruling on a specific group, it is necessary to examine its books, observe its conditions and actions, or rely on the testimony of trustworthy individuals. We have not reviewed the writings of the Sanusiya group, and there are conflicting statements about it. While some describe it as a moderate Sufi movement influenced by the call of Sheikh Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab, whose Sufism was free from polytheistic practices, others quote its founder, Muhammad ibn Ali al-Sanusi, as explicitly advocating seeking help from other than Allah Almighty, and praising Ibn Arabi, who posited the unity of existence. This discrepancy necessitates verifying the true doctrine of this group by referring to its original sources.
