What is the ruling on wearing shoes made from pigskin and praying in them, knowing that they are sometimes taken off for prayer without repeating ablution?

It is not permissible to wear anything made from pigskin during prayer, because it is impure and its hide cannot be purified by tanning. Purity of clothing is a condition for prayer. The prayer of one who prays while wearing it, whether out of ignorance or forgetfulness, is not valid except according to the sounder opinion. It is not permissible to buy or sell it. However, it is permissible to wear it outside of prayer if there is a need, but caution should be exercised so that furnishings do not become defiled.
