Jealousy is a praiseworthy quality if it is in its proper place. Allah loves jealousy when there is suspicion and dislikes it when there is no suspicion. A wife should be moderate in her jealousy, think well of her husband, and avoid spying on him or doubting him. Blind jealousy can lead to the destruction of trust and love between spouses, and it can be a cause for divorce. A wife must give her husband trust, and a husband must avoid everything that arouses blameworthy jealousy, observe the Islamic guidelines in dealing with non-mahram women, and praise his wife and boost her morale.
