What is the ruling on honoring my husband's parents—and will I be rewarded for it as if I were honoring my own parents?

A wife's kindness to her husband's father is a good deed for which she will be rewarded. It is best that her intention be to do good to her husband and bring joy to him, as a wife's kindness to her husband carries a greater reward than her kindness to her husband's father. If her kindness to her husband's father is intended to be an act of kindness, obedience, and benevolence towards her husband, then it is hoped that her reward for it will be similar to the reward for her kindness to her own father.
