What is the ruling regarding the Hajj of a wife who was overcome by drowsiness during the Arrival Tawaf (Tawaf al-Qudum) of Hajj?
Source: FtawySummary from Ftawy's records · added here Sep 2, 2026
The wife's drowsiness during the of arrival does not affect the validity of her Hajj, for the tawaf of arrival is a for the Qarin (one performing Hajj and together) and the Mufrid (one performing Hajj only), and nothing is required if it is omitted. Al-Khatib Al-Shirbini Al-Shafi'i mentioned that sleeping during tawaf in a manner that does not invalidate ablution does not interrupt the tawaf.
