What is the ruling on one who vowed to pray on time, but faced circumstances beyond their control, such as being on a journey?

Performing prayer on time is achieved by performing it at any part of its allocated time, and whoever performs it before its time expires has fulfilled their obligation. Vowing to perform prayer on time is a type of vow related to an obligatory act, and the majority of scholars do not consider such a vow binding, and this is the fatwa. Therefore, nothing is binding upon you if you fail to fulfill this vow and delay the prayer beyond its time, but you would be sinful and deserving of the warning.
