How can a newly married woman return to prayer, love it, and pray without fears or disturbing dreams, and how can she become religiously committed and please her husband without angering her family or facing social ostracism, especially in an environment where she finds it difficult for women to be committed?
She who is lackadaisical in prayer should hasten to repent and observe it diligently, realizing the danger of abandoning it. She can be aided in this by reflecting on the Quran, understanding Allah's Names and Attributes and His blessings, and contemplating death and the Afterlife. She should also supplicate frequently and keep company with righteous women. As for disturbing dreams, their remedy lies in observing the remembrances (adhkar) before sleep, in the morning, and in the evening, as well as legitimate ruqyah. She must maintain the legal hijab and abandon any work that requires its removal. She should also treat her husband kindly and obey him in what is right, and be keen to learn the rulings of the Sharia and attend lessons and sermons.
