The on crops and fruits is due from the harvest at the time of its reaping, and it is not permissible to give its value in cash. If the fruits reach the (minimum taxable amount), then it is obligatory to give one-tenth of the fruits if they were watered without effort, and half of one-tenth if they were watered with effort. If the amount for which the fruits were sold reaches the nisab and one hawl (lunar year) has passed over it, then it is subject to the zakat of the two currencies (one-quarter of one-tenth). As for the funds of minors in the bank, zakat is obligatory on them if they reach the nisab and one hawl has passed over them, and their zakat is one-quarter of one-tenth (2.5%).
