If the design seller stipulates that their design should only be used for a single project, or on a personal website, or in a store, then this is a void condition because it contradicts the essence of the contract. Scholars have differed regarding the ruling on the contract when such a condition exists:

- The majority of scholars: They consider the contract to be void in this case.

- The Hanbalis: They consider the contract to be valid, while the condition is void, and the buyer is not obligated to fulfill this void condition.
