Is it permissible to deduct from one's salary for educational rehabilitation or a permissible trade to pay off accumulated debts, knowing that paying a portion of the salary directly to the creditors will delay repayment for many years and increase their harm? And do the creditors have a share in the profits of this trade or investment if repayment is made from it?

You must do your best to pay off your debts and resolve to fulfill them; your sincere intention will help you. Seek refuge in Allah by frequently reciting the well-known supplication: "O Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, and I seek refuge in You from inability and laziness, and I seek refuge in You from cowardice and miserliness, and I seek refuge in You from the overwhelming burden of debt and from being overpowered by men." You are not allowed to keep any of your money except for your needs; the rest should be used to pay off some of your debt. Do not invest it in trade or study without the permission of the rightful creditors. If you violate this and engage in trade and profit, the creditors are not partners in the profit.
