Is the marriage contract considered valid and legitimate if it is concluded without reciting Surat Al-Fatiha?

Reciting Al-Fatiha when a woman is proposed to or when the marriage contract is concluded has no basis from the Prophet (peace be upon him), and it is neither recommended nor a pillar. It is sufficient for the contracting party to perform the contract with the woman's guardian, and if he agrees, the contract is concluded. What is recommended is to recite Khutbat al-Hajah (the sermon of need). The marriage contract is Islamically valid if its pillars are complete.
