What are the ways to avoid quick anger when discussing with others, including one's parents?
Source: FtawySummary from Ftawy's records · added here Oct 24, 2026
Allah has made it obligatory to honor one's parents and has forbidden harming them in any way. The Prophet (peace be upon him) prohibited anger and its consequences. So, if you become angry, remember the Prophet's admonition and your kindness to your parents. Then, follow these methods to calm your anger: remember Allah, change your state, recall regret and seeking forgiveness, ask for the reward of pardoning, and remember that hearts will incline towards you, increasing your honor through forgiveness.
