What is the supplication or prayer that a woman can use to facilitate her marriage to a young man whose family refused him because his mother was a Christian who converted to Islam, and she (the mother) is not veiled, knowing that the young man is of good character and religious, and his financial affairs are sound?

There is no specific supplication in Islamic law for facilitating marriage to a particular person. However, supplication in general is beneficial for achieving a permissible objective. If a suitable man proposes to a woman and she consents, her guardian does not have the right to prevent her marriage to him. The husband's own character is what matters, and he is not harmed by the wrongdoing of his mother. The predominant view among us is that compatibility between spouses is solely based on religious commitment. It is advisable to consult wise individuals and seek Allah's guidance (istikharah) before embarking on any matter.
