Is it permissible for a woman to distribute dates with the intention of feeding a fasting person in the street?
Feeding those who are fasting is one of the best righteous deeds, and a Muslim is rewarded for it. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever feeds a fasting person will have his sins forgiven and his neck freed from the Fire, and he will have a reward like theirs without anything being decreased from their reward." There is no difference in this between a man and a woman. If a person gives food to a fasting person with the intention of feeding him breaking his fast, he will receive the reward for what he intended if the fasting person breaks his fast with it. If he does not break his fast with it, he will still receive the reward for charity and good intention.
